The sun is bright and it appears to be actually glowing. There is so much texture in this piece that if you view it from an angle, you can see the layers built up. It has deep scratches in the layers to bring out colors underneath. The flowers were created with a combination of scratching and paint. This painting took many, many hours and many, many layers. It was a true labor of love and one I am so very proud of. I used colors I thought my friend would like. It is solid hardwood with carved floral relief, so it is heavy and substantial. Absolutely gorgeous and complements the floral seascape perfectly.
