“A Love That Stays” Oil Painting - 4ft x 3ft

This is for anyone who's ever lost a soulmate pet, or another soul that left too soon.

I wanted an ethereal scene that showed a rainbow illuminated by sunlight breaking through a storm. While rainbows generally begin to disappear when the sun hits them, I wanted the rainbow to be constant and solid, a reminder to the viewer that love doesn't disappear just because it may not be tangible anymore.

This painting features a phenomenon that I'm not quite sure how it happened... it appears to color shift at different angles, especially the choppy sea. The pinks are subtle from straight-on, but become more intense or more desaturated as you move around the room.

Oil on deep canvas. Large at 4ft x 3ft, unframed with painted sides. Can be hung as-is.
