This collection is moody landscapes in blues and greens inspired by the flora and coasts of Southern Italy. I was very lucky to spend a few weeks there last fall, roadtripping our way from one coast to another. It was the most spectacular, ethereal place I've had the pleasure to visit, and filled with incredibly hospitable, kind, lovely people. The weather was warm, the sun shined and kissed your skin, the air was filled with only the humming of nature, the food was straight from local gardens and farms.

It was, what I believe to be, the closest to Heaven you can get on earth. I wanted to keep true to my marsh scenes and incorporate the colors I was inspired by, especially in Puglia, where the desert met the sea. The plants were otherworldly, and often existed in these cool greens. The deeper blue-green in the paintings is representative of the ocean there.

This body of work represents peace through uneasiness and collective grief. It symbolizes finding your Heaven in each tumultuous moment, even if it's as simple as a walk in nature down the road from your house just to clear your mind.

This triptych was painted with razor blades, a rubber spatula and my fingers. You'll see the razor marks and scratches throughout the works.

Oil on solid wood board, 12' x 9". These boards are meant to be hung as-is, and come with slots on the reverse, as well as hanging instructions. The sides are painted. They can also be professionally framed, if you'd prefer.
