A purple and cream stormy scene that reflects comfort and nostalgia. I painted this to replicate the feeling of losing a loved one, and how the storm clouds of grief can part and make way for a beautiful landscape of joyful memory. Named, and painted, from a poem by E.E. Cummings.
Original oil painting on hardboard panel, nestled in a very early 1800s heavy mahogany frame. This is the oldest frame I've ever had the pleasure of painting a scene for.
The painting is 11" x 14" and the frame measures 14.25" x 17.25". The frame is in original, unrestored condition and areas of missing gesso have been touched up with layers of color-correcting water-based paints. (Please see all photos for accurate representation of frame condition.) The frame boasts unusual, gorgeous original colorings deep rich brown, nearly plum purple.
This painting will ship in about 2-3 weeks from purchase. Free shipping to anywhere within the continental US.
