I wanted this scene to feel like a warm embrace from a loved one after a nightmare. The relief. The nostalgia. The warm, humid air and the smell of salt water. All reassuring and comforting things.

Oil on custom hardboard, framed in a late 1800s frame. The frame features original, time-won character, adding to the overall charm of this piece. This scene was created specifically for this frame.

Painting is 24" x 12".

Frame is 27.75" x 16" and a few inches deep.
