Named/painted from a poem by Walterrean Salley.
This was a sunset here in my gorgeous coastal town I was lucky to witness a few weeks ago. It had been a very dreary day, so to see the sky ignite almost suddenly, felt like I needed to at least attempt to recreate it. These colors are not exaggerated; this is exactly what the sky looked like. It was a beautiful reminder that beauty can still show up unexpected- even uninvited- and make the frozen earth, and our lives, glow in fiery colors.
