A note from the artist:
"This work was created to represent relying on morals and a strong inner compass to navigate the evils of today's world. When all people seem to fail you, look inward. The purity left in your soul will point you north.
I painted this sun to appear to be breaking through clouds after a storm, and wanted it to feel as much like the North Star as it does a sun. It was also created to resemble a compass in the way the light shines in four points and rounds out in a flare.
I'm blessed to live and paint from my home in coastal Beaufort, SC, where this view is located. The briny air, the shifting hues of the spartina grass, the abundance of immaculate views and the plethora of wildlife easily work their way into my art. I hope you feel every ounce of my beautiful home when you view my work."

Shipping/Delivery:
The purchaser of the artwork is responsible for coordinating the handling, pickup and transport. Hickory Chair will provide a list of suggested white glove companies. The cost of the artwork does not include shipping or delivery.
To preserve the beauty and longevity of your artwork, keep away from direct sunlight, humidity, and extreme temperature changes. Paintings and prints should only be displayed and stored in stable environments, to avoid warp of canvas stretcher bars or paper.
Handle all pieces with care using clean, dry hands, and avoid contact with liquids or harsh chemicals. For maintenance, gently dust surfaces with a soft cloth. Proper care will help maintain the color, texture, and integrity of each piece for years to come.
