The Inspiration

Named/painted from a poem by Kristina Mahr.

A classic of mine: a stormy seascape with bright light. A symbol of hope through heartache I've painted hundreds of times in different forms at this point, but I won't apologize; they never become any less meaningful. This one features a sparkling sea, and the bright fuchsia underpainting peeks through. I sometimes use this bright pink underpainting because it represents joyful remembrance in the realm of grief.
