Commissioned Painting - Deposit

Thank you for your interest in a commissioned painting! Kayla's commissioned works are $4 a square inch, regardless of ease/difficulty or how many hours are invested in it.

A 50% deposit is needed to book a commission, and the remainder of the deposit is due before delivery/pickup. Please note the above fees are 50% DEPOSITS ONLY.

Should you need/want your payments broken down into quarters after the initial 50% deposit, we can do that as well. Please leave a note in the Special Instructions area at checkout. Commissions and all deposits/installments are non-refundable. By booking a commissioned painting, you are agreeing to pay the full amount upon completion of the painting.

The smallest size that can be commissioned is a 14" x 18" but can be as large as you like. Please note that commissioned prices do not include shipping, but we can provide a quote prior to purchase. All paintings are shipped via freight or UPS with insurance. We have a working relationship with several shipping companies and will work with them to arrange the pickup and delivery of your piece.

We can also provide beautiful handcrafted framing options, as our frames are all made in-house. Choose your commission size and "unframed" or "framed" option. Since our frames are made to order, we can customize them based on your interior styling. For clients that choose "framed," we'll reach out with color options and wood choices. We only use the very highest quality and grain of hardwoods, personally selecting each and every board with great care and attention to detail. All frames are built by Kayla's husband, Matt, a fine woodworker and master carpenter. Each features mitered corners, a satin-smooth touch and expertly finished in Rubio Monocoat for durability and longevity.

Each painting is created on deep canvas with painted sides. Each painting is done in oil and varnished for protection. The turnaround time is dependent on size and work load, but is typically 2-6 months out.

Please note: Kayla will not work from another artist's work, nor paint outside of her typical style. Her style and aesthetic is best described as: a hint of impressionism, a dash of a realism and a whole lot of whimsy. Her typical color palette is earthy, contrasting and true to life, though she can alter her color palette to match your home's design.
