Painted/named from a poem titled, Perspective.

This hazy sun scene is one we recently witnessed here in Beaufort. I loved how different the soft, filtered light made the world, and how the pink sun seemed to tinge everything below it a bit pink unlike it ever has before. It made me think of how often we can see the same scene again and again, but it takes an perspective shift to tinge our ideas of what we think we know. I hope this painting is a reminder to stay open to new ideas, ideals and always remain empathetic to not only what you've experienced, but even situations you haven't. Empathy will save the world, if only we allow our perspectives to see beyond what's in front of us, and open ourselves up to the peripheral.
